Police website reaches out to community

Liverpool Direct Limited Web Services has successfully delivered a fresh, new and inviting website www.northumbria.police.uk to Northumbria Police that will radically reshape the way the force communicates with its local citizens.
Colette Kavanagh, Head of Liverpool Direct Limited Web Services, says, "The new website gives Northumbria Police a strong new online identity and reaches out to the force's key audiences. It is designed to eventually enable meaningful two-way communication between the community and the force through forums, blogs and messaging."
Launching the website, Chief Constable Mike Craik, said that the aim of the new website is to provide quality, up-to-date information for the public and in his first online blog told Northumbria citizens, "We’ve redesigned our site to make it easier for you to find out what’s going on in Northumbria Police and what we’re doing to make your community safe."
The project, undertaken in partnership with BT, was delivered within a tight timescale and also included delivery of:
