Sunday Times Green Awards

Liverpool Direct Limited was ranked the second 'best green company' in the North West, and was placed 17th nationally at the exclusive Sunday Times Green Awards ceremony on May 14th, 2008, in London.
Through its nomination and a staff survey, Liverpool Direct Limited demonstrated how it has reduced emissions and energy consumption, as well as how it has encouraged employees to become more environmentally responsible through initiatives such as their 'Save the Planet' intranet site.
"To be ranked as the second ‘best green company’ in the North West and 17th nationally by the Sunday Times Best Green Awards is a huge achievement.
"This national recognition demonstrates that Liverpool Direct Limited is committed to reducing its impact on the environment, something that we as a company and our employees are very passionate about," said David McElhinney, CEO, Liverpool Direct Limited.
Liverpool Direct Limited will publicly be announced among the top 50 Best Green Companies on May 18th, when the Sunday Times newspaper will publish a dedicated supplement.
The Sunday Times Green Awards received nominations from across the UK from businesses and industries who are striving to be more environmentally friendly.
